Heirlooms of August è il progetto musicale di Jerry Vessel, ex bassista dei Red House Painters ed attuale membro dei Sun Kil Moon. Collaborano insieme a lui, tra gli altri, Bruce Kaphan (American Music Club) e Anthony Koutsos (Red House Painters).
L’album d’esordio della band “Forever The Moon”, pubblicato dall’etichetta di Mark Kozelek Caldo Verde lo scorso 21 giugno, è uno dei lavori più intensi e malinconici che potrete ascoltare quest’anno, con brani che rimandano alla migliore tradizione folk britannica e al country-folk a stelle e strisce.
