Song of the day: Mint Mile – Likelihood

I Mint Mile giungono finalmente all’esordio sulla lunga distanza, dopo tre EP in altrettanti anni. L’album s’intitola Ambertron è uscirà il 20 marzo.
I Mint Mile sono il progetto musicale di Tim Midyett (Silkworm, Bottomless Pit, SUNNO)))), qui accompagnato da Jeff Panall (Songs: Ohia), Justin Brown (Palliard), Matthew Barnhart (Tre Orsi), Howard Draper (Shearwater, Tre Orsi), Greg Norman (Bitter Tears).
Il singolo che anticipa l’album è Likelihood, un fenomanale biglietto di presentazione e una cavalcata degna del miglior Neil Young.

“Baritone guitar, pedal steel, rock solid rhythms predominate, with keyboards, strings, horns, and atmosphere woven into the mix as expert spices”.

 

 

 

 

 

Song of the day: Johnny Franco – Immediate Love

Un artista brasiliano che si è fatto conoscere suonando per le strade di Portland, Oregon e che ora giunge al debutto con un EP, “Experience Report #1”, pubblicato dall’etichetta del rinomato artista/produttore Sterling Fox (Blanket Fort Records) e in uscita la prossima primavera.
Johnny cita come influenze Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco, Alabama Shakes, Black Keys e io, dopo aver avuto la fortuna di ascoltare l’EP, l’amo già. D’altronde è Immediate Love.
